    Looks like some kind of allium

    Might even be Chives

    Yup, looks like Allium. Are they in flower now though? Unusual time of year for Allium to flower I think (although I may just never have seen an Autumn flowering one :) )

    EDIT: Ah ... Flickr says the photo was taken on 4th June 2010 which would be a reasonable time for Allium to flower :thumb:

    Almost certainly Alliums - perhaps Caeruleum?

    If the photo was taken in June - It could well be Allium hollandicum - which is perhaps the most common Allium grown (excluding onions). A. hollandicum grows to 3 or 4 feet tall - yours don't look that tall, but its difficult to tell from the photo.

    The most common variety (perhaps the only variety - as I don't think I have heard of another) is 'Purple Sensation'. If you Google that the colour is a good purple. Yours look a more dirty blue purple, but this is the colour that self sown seedlings revert to.

    :scratch: Hmm I am inclined to think chives or it could even be a Scabiosa in full flower.. :scratch: Perhaps Scabiosa incisa....??

    Latent said that they were about three feet tall - which limits the field.

    Looks like Chives to me

    Maybe even a dandelion thats been coloured in Photoshop or something :P
