A quick introduction as I can't wait to get browsing the forum . I am retired , been gardening to some degree all my life , we have just returned to the UK from 12 years in Cyprus , moving there took some major readjusting in gardening techniques and now I have to get used to the cold and wet !
Bought a new build , good house but garden only 12x4 metres with clinically clean "top soil" the builder supplied . 18 months and a ton of local manure + 2kg of worms from a worm farm we now have a lively garden . A mixture of flowers , veg and 1 apple tree , enough to keep me occupied .

Yes,it is difficult in the UK ,I sold my DT200 when I left Cyprus ,I could ride straight out of my drive onto dirt tracks and go for miles no problem .I had my son's crf250r out there too , that's now sat in his garage unused ,not really into motox tracks

I do live in a semi rural area , I used to go into the woods which is at the bottom of the road, I had a KTM sx125. It weren't the best place to go and not ideal for a motocross bike, I was out one day in winter / autumn and obviously they were no leaves on the trees , you could see at the bottom of the hill not far at all the brand new Police station, me on the bright orange motorbike thought it were time to get rid unfortunately. I often wonder getting a enduro bike but I probably more tempted with another road bike. The electric off road bikes look interesting.

Hi Bob. Welcome to the forum. Strange, but back in the 60's I rode several bikes and to be honest, I had very little interest in them. Often I would consider them to be death-traps. However I had a job to do, enforcing Road Traffic Laws. Strange isn't it that now all these years later, I find myself dwelling on the past. My favourite was th 650 Thunderbird. I can still recognise that exhaust sound from a distance.

I sometimes tease my youngest daughter, claiming that I have been looking at classic Triumphs. She is petrified. I have agreed to have 'stabalisers' fitted should I buy.
