Solved Help identifying this please? Delphinium?

    Does anyone know what this is please? Possibly a delphinium-hybrid?

    Looks more like a penstemon to me.
    Campanula maybe.

      Hi Pete. Well you've already solved one puzzle for me! I thought penstemon too (not sure about campanula) My friend who asked me the question thinks the leaves are wrong - too feathery. My neighbour has found this too this year, and it has spread like a weed all over a corner bed! Any more ideas?

              That’s it, aconitum, thanks @CarolineL :) couldn’t for the life of me remember. I love it, used it a lot when I was a florist, never grown it though.
