New turf laid

I had some new turf laid on Monday by a neighbour and I’m not too impressed. It looks rather flat in colour to the point of it looking browny greenly yellow. He assured me that after 4 weeks of watering daily it’ll come up fine. He’s a good guy so don’t want to moan if all will look fine but I was really looking forward to having a lovely green lawn. Is this the case or shall I complain? I went to b and q that very day looking for sand and they had turf and it looked super green compared to mine.

It looks like it was sat waiting a bit long outside before he laid it.

How much have you been watering it each day? And what time of day?

 

Once a day, I give it a good soak. about 6pm
