Back to work at last and rather a shock to be faced with this brute!
A Pyracantha no less which took over two hours to prune back enough to access the windows...I was still only able to get within three feet of the frames.
The sheet was to protect my poor legs:pala:

That's what happens when you use Photobucket. If I post a picture on the internet it stays there as it's on my own webspace, so it's there till I remove it.

This house is high on the hills overlooking a village called Blockley and just out of sight is the village I was born in.
Only seen from afar I have always wondered what it was like....answer!! I want it:D

and a view to die for:)

That is a beautiful house, maybe it will come up for sale? I bet it would go for a fair price though.

The pics look fab and that cottage in Chipping Camdem certainly looks familiar. As kids we used to visit my Dads family in that 'generalish' area (pebworth to be more precise) regularly, only go up at Christmas now :o.
My Uncle used to be heavily involved in barn conversions in that area many years ago. Have you ever worked with a chap called Richard Clark?

I dont think Paul Clarke is a relation :(
My paternal grandparents are in Pebworth graveyard too, and my Dad used to ring the bells at the church as a small boy, as well as ride my aunties pram down the steep hill there as a kart (with her still inside!!!).

Jazmine, the place is up for Let...previous tenant said it was too remote:dh:...Horrilbe track to the house though!

Penny,It's owned by a Gentleman 'farmer' along with half of the near valley, but I'm sure you could afford it:D.

Marley,It is nice to work in and around the places I was brought up in...but at times it does get to you when the memories won't leave you alone!:flag::)

Perhaps you might pop over for a coffee next time you are in the area Alison...Mrs Pal and I intend to go over when the nights draw in to see the Lantern in it's glory:cool:

Down Ampney near Cirencester was once a massive dairy complex and owned by the Co-Op....now in total shut down with the farms and buildings being rented or sold off.
This Bay window was practically falling out and despite an attempt to repair it, it was decide to replace it completely.
I have nearly busted a gut this week mauling the old one out and carrying up a new one...the scaffold is antique too and weighs a ton!
    Before..
And almost there:skp:...well except fitting the sashes and glazing that is...bet you've not seen one like it!...the scaffold I mean:D
