Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

@Logan and @Upsydaisy all of our windows have insect screening which I remove during the winter. I did have a client once who didn't use screens and she kept the fan running on their central heating system (heat turned off) so as to keep positive pressure in the house and discourage flyers from coming in.

I'll finally get that pastry made today and ready for baking tarts on Tuesday when the temperature drops. I don't want the air conditioning to have to fight with the oven. I keep the thermostat set at 78f when the air is on. I don't need to be cool, it is summer after all. I just need to be comfortable

 

Went to church this morning (although should still be isolating, technically, following my return from the UK), as I suspected that some things on the sound desk might have changed, and I’m on SD next week.
Good job I did - might as well be a new desk, as they’ve returned to factory settings, wiped the layer features, wiped all pre-sets (I’d slowly developed a pre-set setting which meant that I had a good base starting point for a Sunday morning mix) AND we now have to set a standard gain setting to send through to the live feed desk, where they do their own pre-transmission mix....

Got back home to have pastries and coffee breakfast with hubby, only to find that he’s been called from work (currently on call 24/7 for the foreseeable future), but the ancient on-call phone that he has been issued with failed to ring).

Sat inside to listen to the live-feed from church, then it was time to do the COVID haircut on hubby - using the cat flea-comb and the dog feather-trimming scissors. Well, I don’t want him to feel too comfortable leaning back on the “headrest” whilst I cut his fringe!!

 

Just spent 3 hours assembling these shelf units for the garage. Boltless - they just slot together.

 

Well apart from the usual jiggery pokery of the day in the life of a Loli...
Chooks out wandering as they do when I happened to look up at the right time to see Mr Fox sat staring at them...This was 1pm..what I will say is Usain Bolt has got nothing on me,I was off like a whippet or should I say a retired Greyhound.Rallied the 'girls' and locked them back in their run which has much displeased them .I'm Kn@ckerd now.

 

Looking for a work bench on Amazon. Saw one I liked and came across this review:

Exact same model under the McAllister name in B&Q and is half the price,total rip off , paying an extra £50 for the Ryobi name,should be rebranded and called RYOBBERS.

This gentleman was correct. He just saved me 50 quid - thank you sir .

 

Made 2 jam tarts and the oval one is a apple pie with just a top crust, didn't have enough pastry to do the bottom crust and it's a bit more healthy.
