Bushes and plants need rescuing

    There are some plants that would ignore that. :) I think it's a case of wait and see.

    There will be very little growth if any on the Hebes or any other plant over the winter. It's a dormant period for them.

    You can but they would probably be better left over winter and start trimming them in the spring. Don't prune the larger one too harshly. I'd be more inclined to let the smaller one put on more growth.
