Mahonia Query

I already have a Mahonia Winter Sun, but I am after another and really like the look of the one in this picture

Mahonia x media 'Lionel Fortescue' | Oregon grape 'Lionel Fortescue'/RHS Gardening

I can only seem to find single stemmed ones, how did they get it to grow like this please with multi stems, or would I need to plant two or three together to get it to grow like this?

Any ideas?

 

Only got "charity " and the species aquifolium, but it's about age and pruning.
After a few years you can prune them back and they then become multi stemmed but from a single main stem.
"Charity" cuttings I have tried always seem to grow in a single stem until you give them a prune, after flowering.

 

Ahh, I thought that might be the case. If I wanted instant impact, do you think planting three together in a group would work?

 

Don't see why not, but will cost three times as much.
