Just a thought. Sorry but I do get these flashes of inspiration at times.
Please feel free to post any, even silly things, that happened today.

Around 1700 hrs today. I received a text message from the hospital. Re; Your Pre Operation check. DON'T COME TO THE HOSPITAL. We have made an appointment for you, for Friday 25 Sept. for 3.30 pm. A doctor will phone you 30 mins before or after that time. Please make sure you have your medications beside you and a tape measure, so as to measure your neck.

    Mind boggles.

You'll have to give us an update later Mike as to why they need your neck measurement lol.
I've not heard of that before..
The last time i was given a general anesthetic at the hospital was for a camera to be inserted into the tom tiddler.
As i was falling asleep a guy resembling John Innman came into my view saying 'Don't worry Mr Ewing, your in good hands'
I blacked out in a concerned state.
Thankfully the investigatory procedure went well and I've plodded on well this 30 odd years since.

Mike, you've had a rough time of this so hope all goes well. The only thing I know about neck measurement is that it has something due to being overweight and having sleep apnea.

I don't know what jogged my memory but earlier I thought of the house we sold in Alabama in 1977 when we moved to the UK so I did a search.

          3606 Crestmore 2.jpg

It is a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home built in 1958 sitting catty corner at a crossroad on just under a half acre. It sold two years ago for $77,000!!!

My how it has changed as the back yard which appears to have a chain link fence enclosing a section of it was totally private with tall hedges and you couldn't see that white house behind. I had three huge Hibiscus syriacus out back and two humongous Mimosas (Albizia julibrissin) at the beginning of the driveway, which holds 7-8 cars. tell you what, it took me three days to mow that lawn, the front left of the drive, the front right and the rear (but I did work full time.

          Memories ...

Victoria. ''MEMORIES''. Thankfully they are ours and cannot be taken away.

JR & friends. Many grateful thanks for your kind wishes. Yes JR. I well understand. Er-hum. Are you being served???:whistle:
Yes my cancer is in the nether regions. Six years and some seven or more operations, and it seems I am no further advanced. Yes, the cancer is treatable. Thankfully I am and never have been in pain from it. Pain etc comes from the medical exams etc. Still six years on. Had I not been cared for, I might well have, by now been pushing up the daisies or being sprinkled about as bonemeal. The outlook is. A course of BCG treatment direct into the bladder. Long term, removal of the bladder. I'm coming upto 81. Go on dealer. TWIST! Just thinking. Today would have been Val & mine 59 wedding anniversary. HAPPY MEMORIES.

              Today 24.9.20

Received an email reply from Peter Beales Roses. I had contacted them about three roses I had purchased earlier on in the year as bare roots. When the roses arrived, I was doubtful about these three. The canes were alraed looking that deathly brown. They had been cut back to 6-9 inches, using straight cuts rather than sloping, no sign of buds or scars from buds. Anyway I planted them and zilch. IMO the packer simply decided to reduce the size for ease of packing.

Unfortunately the pictures never arrived with my email. Nevertheless, the roses are being replaced. No problems.
