    Hello all.

Well, I moved house about 6 months ago, and have so far spent most of my time working on the inside, as my wife has all sorts of unreasonable expectations about having a roof without holes in it, boilers that don't leak and stairs that are firmly attached to the wall.

Now I hav a house which is finally livable in, 2009 sees me dealing with the gardens. However, I have to say that I am totally and utterly devoid of inspiration, and so I thought I would join the forum and tap into the cllective brain power that is here.

I have 3 gardens essentially. The front and back gardens are small and currently made up of bad grass which includes a vast amount of moss, a few deformed conifers and some borders bout 9 inches wide seeminly made from stones with the odd spec of soil.

Behind this, I have brought a plot of land about 3/4 acre in size. Right now it's just scrub and grass which I want to turn into a bigger garden over time.

First priority is the two smaller gardens first, so expect lots of questions about soil, garden design, lawns etc.
Then I'll do the bigger area, but I keep changing my mind on what I want to do with it, so my apologies if I ask a lot of questions that result in nothing on that bit.

well - that's me. Hello once again

    Steve
