Well, I was a lifelong Labour person, as was my Wife, but watching Tony Blair and Brown performing over the years turned me off them although I tried to remain Labour in my heart. But it worsened with following Labour Leaders until it turned into a party I didn't recognise with Corbyn. Now, it's Starmer time, and a man who sat cuddled up on the Front Bench with Corbyn while planning to be the future Leader.........not a man I trust or like.
So, now I vote Conservative, I don't like all of their policies or stances but, for me, they're the only game in Town as I won't forgo my right to vote that was so hard fought for by other people.
I voted for BREXIT wholeheartedly, but I do have a respect for a Labour MP who was/is an ardent Remainer and caused delays to the passing of the Bill but:dunno::love30: who I think has more honesty and principles than most others and that is Hilary Benn.

Not wildly keen on Hilary Benn, although I do accept your point - his father was more my cup of tea.

Couldn't stand the man, FC, he got a lot of Service men killed with his "my enemies are my friends" policies in the 60's leaving the Army, Navy and Air Force hanging out to dry with no support or resources.......he and Michael Foot did a lot of damage.:dunno:

Not to those who were suffering the consequences of his thoughts that the IRA and other terrorists were naughty boys who just needed a kind word to get them to stop killing innocent people, JR.:dunno:

Maybe i liked him because at least he was honest with his opinions..(good and bad)
Unlike Keir Starmer who appears very slippery.
No different to most politicians i guess.

Have just been watching the House of Lords. Finally the bill has been passed. Now the queen has to sign it. Job done.

Kate Hoey's speech was good - they do not make many MP's like her now.

I liked Micheal Gove's speech where he very respectfully thanked Starmer for his support before taking the hiss out of him. He then went on to maul that other no bod, SNP twerp.
All very entertaining for people who aren't particularly left or right.

Aye, I don't like Gove one bit, but he is good at that sort of thing - even old Billy Bunter had to chuckle as he knew Gove had nailed him to the floor.

I've just seen the recent speech by Macaroni.

                        Two clangers -

                        He refers to the UK as a country;
He doesn't even mention Northern Ireland.

                        Good job we're out.

Macron is reportedly promoting 'Frexit' now... After attempting to ruin our departure.
                          What a nice genuine guy.

He's just another of the recent 'leaders' that are poisonous little turds that don't attempt to govern, just go with whatever is the socially influenced thing at the time. They're treating leadership as a popularity contest on the TV.

It's done, signed and sealed so the UK has to put best foot forward and make it work. I don;t understand the people that are continuing to compare to 'if we stayed in the EU...' it's completely irrelevant! Quit the dripping and move on with life!
