Vivas - they are beautiful, and what a wide range you have - how many different ones do you have?

I presume your winters are pretty cold, so you lift them every winter and store them in a frost free area as we do.

I have about 100 dahlias varieties for this day. Of course, every year I buy some new ones.
Dahlias aren't perennials - of course, I must plant them every spring and lift them not later the middle of october

Lifting them every autumn is the traditional way here, but there are quite a few people now who leave them in all the year round. But not me - I live in the north of England and its tooooo cold for that. :D

100 is a huge number to keep track of. I have difficulty with about 6 varieties. I keep finding tubers without a label!

What a beautiful collection, I have 2 and have only managed to get one to flower so far, they've both been in pots this year as the first one I had did go in the ground and did nothing at all. So no need for digging up:) just pop the pot in a cold frame althought that might be a little difficult with 100. Might atempt to put them out next year:thumb:
