bad pruning

    We recently had a thread on new tree pruning techniques to encourage fungi and rot.

    I saw this yesterday at Wisley RHS garden, as we can see they are at the cutting edge, so to speak, of these new ideas.:lollol:

    What a haven for bugs and fungi lol!!!

    Glad Im not an RHS member subsidising this sort of bad practice, No excuses what so ever for sutch bad cuts even if it's a take down.

    That isn't coronet cuts/retrenchment pruning. That's just poor cutting techniques carried out by untrained and unsupervised individuals. Very bad practice. Boo hiss boo to them. If I was an RHS memnber or had paid to visit the garden I'd have been looking to complain to somebody.

    Ok, so we have established that Bob has a dirty mind.
    As to lolli,... well, :lollol:
    Back to tree pruning.

    I all fairness I would hope that the lower branches had just been chopped by whoever planted the border, leaving it, hopefully, for the proper gang to come along and tidy it all up later.

    Just not good them leaving it like that.
