Sorry but i bare bad news:
If a user attempts to post an image via an modern android phone they will recive a massage saying
Computer says no the format of the image is not supported

 

Phone is from 2020
It saves images as .heic a format even im not familiar with
Me is web dev

 

Yes the forum is fine i think its neat

The phone comes this way so many users would not understand how to go about optimising the image

If you study your server logs you can find out just how often a user is told no.
That way if its worth it you can update the error message to be more useful for some users on certain devices

Reminds me of the time I purchased a set of number plates. For a couple of weeks I drove around wondering why they were blue and not white/yellow. There was a transparent blue protective plastic covering over them - peeled it off and away you go. I remember feeling like a right plonker and vowed that day never to tell anyone - to save my blushes .
