Internet connection

    Hi everyone I have lots of Internet problems ,most of the day I cannot log on ,I lose my connection it only lasts about 20 minutes at a time I am with (Virgin media) and when i do eventually get here It takes 20 seconds to turn a new page. I have tested and had confirmed that my Broadband speed is 20mb I think its running at about a tenth that speed,could it be my Router:flag:.Thank you:)

    It could be loads of reasons but here's a few ideas to start the list:
    What sort of router, wired or wireless
    Reboot router
    Replace any connection leads with new ones ( they can give problems with bad joints)
    Does your Email work OK?
    Are other programmes on your pute running slow? When my old pute started to go slow, I had to reload it.
    Have you got too many devices plugged in to your land line that may be affecting connection?
    If problem has just started, try doing a restore to an earlier date.

    Thank you Terrier much appreciated It was the router I reset it it did a system restore and ay presto its ok at the moment ,much appreciated:thumb::)

    I find that my router sometimes goes to sleep, if I can't wake it up I switch it off and on again.

    You can measure the broadband speed. There are several free tests as well as discussion if you Google.
