We have moved into the property where this beauty was planted in a pot ( if anybody knows the name, please advise) Several days ago the top of it started to dry out. If it because of hot weather we had in UK or any other problems? What can I do to help?
It is situated on east-south side.
Thank you very much in advance

I think it may have dried out at some stage, that is if you cant see any pests down inside that area of the plant.
I've got one very similar to this, I rescued it from a cemetery bin.

Not sure what they are but appear to be a dwarf form of a spruce maybe, to be honest I've never tried to find out exactly what it is.

I don't know what your conifer is.

We often prune the top of our small bright green conifer (Cupressus i think) and then the tree happily grows back over the cut area and looks good again. Cutting of the dead growth 'may' work for you too.
