Are these worm castings?

    Hi All,

    This is new to me - I never used to get this on my old lawn however having moved home, I noticed the lawn at my new residence has become covered with these little tuffs of what looks like mud - Having Googled it I believe they're worm castings, am I right? As I notice little black slugs all over the lawn too so wasn't sure. This isn't a new lawn either.
