It's good news that you've had the op and I wish you a speedy recovery. :grphg:

If the Paracetamol don't do the job I'm sure you can be prescribed something stronger by your doc. Many years ago I had an op and they sent me home with Paracetamol but as the drugs they had given me started to wear off the Para wasn't doing a great deal (maybe they would have gradually built up an effect). Early that evening I got a phone call from the surgeon and he phoned to apologise for not being there to sign me out (a junior doc did it) as he was in the operating theatre and he asked how I felt - maybe the NHS was a bit more personal in those days. I told him it was rather painful (understatement) and he asked me what drugs they had given me. When I told him he was rather annoyed and he dropped in some stronger ones on his way home as he lived in the next village.

Only just reading this as I don't come on the computer in the evenings but so pleased you are safe and warm at home being pampered by hubs.

Please only do the exercises necessary and at this point don't go that extra mile because you feel you can ... you know I will nag you. xx

On all the items I have done lately I only use three stitches ... chain, single and double!

            Tylenol, Panadol, etc.

Thanks Vicky, I promise to behave ( let's do a deal...you mustn't push yourself either, aggravating that poor knee yesterday.....OK :dbgrtmb:)

One sheet of exercises are specifically for the early stages of recovery to keep it flexible then gradually they get combined with the remaining ones to build up joint strength.

Searching for a crochet hook..... I know I've seen one lurking around some where and looking very lonely!!

              .

                  Agreed! :dbgrtmb:

You must let me know what these are.

After knee surgery here, the next day you are put on a CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) contraption in your bed. As you are in hospital for 2-5 days (they don't believe in day surgery) one might be saddled with this thing fro day 2 onwarrd by the Physio, along with up and walking and doing stairs.

No it's only day surgery for keyhole on the knee here, anything more and you stay in.

My sister had the same as you after her knees were replaced. She was in for 4 days both times.

Thanks @shiney , glad to hear that you eventually got your meds.

I have actually got some much stronger ones given to me a few months back , but I really do try to avoid medication if possible. I've tried to keep my mind occupied today in the hope it would dull the pain receptors....it's worked to a certain degree.:dbgrtmb: xx

Thanks @Logan, yes they are aren't they!!
I am well aware though that he has some on going health worries too at the moment, in fact it's his turn to have a procedure done at the same hospital tomorrow!! Right pair we are at the moment!! I was initially upset at the thought of not being able to go with him this time...but will now decide if I'm able to or not tomorrow. xx
