Last year in November my wife gave birth to our first child. Everyone is happy, healthy and my son seems to be really content with the family he picked. And he is the perfect beginner's baby sleeping from 21:30 to 07:00 straight but well deserved after giving my wife crippling nausea for 8 months.

Luckily I already planted a few trees for him to pick one with enough left for a few siblings to come. His choices are cherry, persimmon, amelanchier, almond and apple.

Hopefully after a few stressful weeks i now have a little more time to plant and build stuff in the garden.

Edit: No baby post without pictures IMG_20220118_184914.jpg

Congratulations! What a lovely looking, alert child you have there... so wonderful! New life is such a precious gem :wub2:

It's also a truly warming idea to grow a tree for him. Even if you move houses, or when he gets his own place, it's an honour to know that you had a tree planted for you. It is very special. :)

Thank you all for your kind words. It truly means a lot to me.
My wife is well as well and keeps nuzzling him so much I rarely get the chance myself.

His name is Elric by the way and I sure hope he loves the garden I planted especially with him in mind (lots of edibles, no poisonous plants) even before he was underway.

Congratulations @Black Dog, I love his name and he's so adorable! :imphrt: He's a lucky child to have a father who loves horticulture and will hopefully adopt your love of gardening, it's the gift that just keeps on giving as we all know! :blue thumb:
