Pot of miniature daffodils just starting to flower, and miniature daffodils flowering in other places too, and violas also producing some new flowers (the viola flowers got battered by the weather a few weeks ago and got eaten by probably small snails, but after deadheading the tatty flowers, treating with some ferric phosphate slug and snail killer pellets and some Maxicrop extract of seaweed, they seem to be starting to produce the first good flowers).

Here we are in February and we've got one ROSE flowering!! It good old fashioned PEACE. Not pruned yet (it'll be done March as usual) second bud also will flower next week. Not a 'warm' part of garden, has snowdrops and helibores flowering underneath. Is my rose suffering from poor understanding of seasons d'you think?

No it's because you haven't pruned it, in late autumn I lightly prune mine ready for winter and then in march give them a proper pruning.

The Acacia is flowering well as last year all the buds were stripped Mimosa.JPG off after freezing gales.
