We have a number of commemorative coins that we think we might sell but are finding it difficult to find the value of them. I don't want to take them to a local coin shop/dealer without some idea of what they are worth.

All of them are Crown size and some actually say 5 Shillings on them. Most of those are are Silver Jubilee and there are different emblems on the back.. A few are 1965 Churchill. One is a Singapore 10th Anniversary 10 Dollars.

    All ideas are welcome.

If any of you are collectors then you are welcome to first choice :) and can PM me.

    Thanks in advance. :blue thumb:

Not into Coins, though this site seems to offer some ways to check the value yourself, mainly from ebays sales history, but those prices might be a lot higher than what a dealer would offer.

Equally would be very careful if you decided to sell them on ebay.

Thanks @ricky101 I just want to get a rough idea of retail value and would not expect to get that sort of price.

I'll look at the link when I have time. :blue thumb:

Afraid the Churchill crowns only sell for £1 or slightly more in good condition. The 1977 jubilee sells for around £25 if it is the 'proof' version. Proof means it has a very shiney (appropriate) finish and will be in a sealed plastic case. If you took them to a coin dealer you would get less . I found the above from ebay filtering on sold prices. If you have a rare one amongst your collection that will be worth more. Just about everyone got a Churchill crown, they minted millions, I remember getting some for my niece she was born the year Churchill died as a christening gift.

My sister was born on coronation year, any ideas how much a coronation crown is worth?

Same year as me, again millions were made and I was given one. Won't get much more than its face value.
