    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hi all,

I have had this Sarah Bernhardt peony for a few years and it’s been planted in a few different spots without success. Last autumn I planted it in a container, followed all the guidance about ensuring it wasn’t buried too deeply etc., and it has grown loads. I bought a frame and it looked healthy. However, the leaves have started to turn purple on top and the bud has stopped growing. Some of the stems look unhappy. Can anyone recommend what might be best please?

To me it still looks planted too deep
That was my problem; so I scraped back about 4 inches of soil to show the crown
    plenty flowers this year
    I will photograph tomorrow

edit -- mine is Sarah Bernhardt too

Planting depth is very important with peonies, they must be planted same as in the original container, too deep and they won't flower.
