I am using Glyphosate and suspect that a watering can could be over kill whilst a pump spray will get everywhere.

If you want to use a watering can you can get a dribble bar for it.

I use a pump up sprayer, and I use a very coarse spray, if you use a light mist it will blow around, but its best to pick a dry windless day anyway.

I use a pump sprayer for Glyphosate, but as Pete says, only on a dry windless day. I have even covered prize plants in the vicinity with a bin bag - just in case.

I use a sprayer, I feel a bit more in control of where it goes compared to a watering can.

Make sure you clearly label the sprayer or can with a permanent marker so you don't inadvertently use it another day for watering etc. Glyphosate can lurk inside and even a tiny residue is curtains for some plants, tomatoes and potatoes for instance.

On a sprayer you can fasten a shield to the nozzle to stop the spray hitting plants you don't want affected.
