Some years back much mention was made in the gardening press on the subject of Hydroponic Gardening, there was even a Hydroponic Society of Great Britain based at Houghton Lodge Garden. However, very little reference is made to the subject on the web & I can find no reference to the HSGB either. Can anyone update me on this subject please?

We have a few members who use this method. What do you want to know?

Thank you. No special reason, it's just that quite a few column inches on the subject appeared in the press some years back but very little now. It appears it did not 'take off' as expected?

@polypody In some fields it has taken off, legal and illegal cannabis production frequently uses hydroponics, many glasshouses producing salad crops use hydroponics for example Thanet Earth. A rapidly increasing use is verti farming which is basically a large warehouse with floor to ceiling racks of salad leaves, herbs baby crops and similar, with grow lights, hydroponic feeding and in some cases a connected aquaculture setup..
