Just listened to this on the news. Some silly, silly woman from the council trying to pass the buck, saying the parents were at fault. Yes, they were, but the council were aware this baby was on the danger list. And the government's response? Another enquiry. Great!

How could anyone inflict those sort of injuries on their own child?

They can't be named for legal reasons, but we keep hearing this PATHETIC excuse, so exactly WHAT are they for crying out loud?

I just hope they get a Bl**dy long sentence and sheer HELL when inside, because they are nothing short of TOTAL SCUMBAGS. Sorry, but I shed tears for the child when I heard it on the news. I have two grandcildren under a year old and thought of two older ones who had already been ABUSED both Physically AND Sexually by their own father who got a disgusting 12 months Probation for it years ago.

If its any consolation, Sharon Shoesmith, that arrogant ***** in charge of Children's Services of Haringey Council (the same one who refused to apologise when the news story broke) has just been sacked with immediate effect and no pay.

The trouble is there was more than one person to blame in this. What about the hospitals that treated the poor little guy a number of times. Did they treat him blind folded. How could they have missed all those serious injurys. It makes me sick. (sorry but this sort of thing gets my back up.)

And what about that Nutter who had her own daughter kidnapped to try and collect the £50,000 reward money. They were saying on the TV last night she was already claiming over £400 a week in benefits for the seven kids she has got.

I wish someone would give me £400 quid a week to stay at home in the warm. Also it was said that she now has a cleaning job in Prison so I expect she will be payed for doing that.Think of all the thousands of pounds it has cost the Taxpayer in the search for missing Shannon plus the money spen on the trial. It makes my blood boil:mad:

I don`t care a thing about the scum who called herself her mum.

I care about how that poor little girl-similar age to one of my daughters-feels now. What trauma she has been through already, and what traumas await her as she goes through each step in life feeling like a nothing. Feeling worthless because of what has been done to her by her own mother.

Absolutely we should have spent the money on the trial, for the little girls sake. We think she is worth it, we condemn what her mum did to her, and we will punish her mum for it.

I just hope the little girl also gets the support she needs, to one day, overcome.

Couldn't agree more Claire, I've been thinking the same and my heart goes out to that little girl. Like you say, she is going to feel totally worthless now-her own mother had her kidnapped to claim the reward. Sickening how low us humans can sink.
