    Hi,
My friend bought me a lady bird house for my birthday. Does anyone know if it's too late now to put out? Has anyone else got one and if so, are they successful in attracting lady birds or any other insects? I have the powdered food to attract them but feel that this would be a bit pointless in the wind and rain. Any suggestions would be welcome.
    Thanks

The food is in a small packet and looks like sand. It says on the packet that it will last up to four months and should be mixed with a small amount of water in a saucer, smear on feed area or onto box feed hole or surfaces. Replacement food can be bought from good garden centres.
    Haven't a clue what's in it.
