I used to live near Leicester. Earl Shilton, actually. And I worked at the Leicester Royal Infirmary once. Is it still there? All my old hospitals seem to have disappeared now!

hello pal yes i have taken my wife there a few times & she visits the garden centre while i look at the trains, it`s a shme due to h & S reasons you are not allowed to visit the engine shed any more. i always think if it`s not safe for the public it`s not safe for the volunteers to be there either.
daisees, as regards to leicester infirmary it is going strong with a large exstention to the old buildings.
at the moment they are building a road bypass for earl shilton the A47 it`s by passing on the east.:thumb:

 

I have to smile at you Antonio, in fact I am cracking up, your poor other half, I suppose this is what makes GC soo interesting. I am also interested in steam trains it seems to grow on you after a while. On my recent visit to Sri-Lanka I had a look at some old steam rollers and old Locos now defunct.
