Well, I must admit it sort of happened to me but I quickly add I was at home with my new
cordless phone in my pocket and it fell out of my pocket into the loo.
Luckily clean water - I grabbed it out held it under a running tap. Needless to say it didn't
    work after that little soaking.

I was surpised after a couple of days when I tried it again it worked perfectly and
    has done ever since!!!

    I don't think I would have rescued it from a public toilet - especially a train toilet:euw:

jjordie....in our IT department we often used to run a dirty keyboard under a hot tap for a minute or so and then leave it to dry out for a week. It always worked.
Nowadays, with keyboards being so cheap it does not matter but I'm about to do the same to quite a few key-pads on some of the ''non-working'' phones. I have about 20 to fix or ditch and I'm sure a few will work again after the coffe/tea/juice etc has been washed out of the key-pads.

Much as I don't like my guys losing their mobiles / blackberries / poser-type mobiles etc......I'd not want them to stick their hand down a loo on the TGV. That was one sheer stupid act of desperation.:D
