Well I really meant was the laptop on Very running windows 11 as it didn't say, I was thinking it might have been missed out for a reason, also noticed in one of the reviews that it said the finger print and facial recognition wasn't on this model even though its there in the spec.

Just looked and it says sold out now:roflol:

Was it sold out in store or online?

I was seeing it still available online, so I created an account and signed in.
Suddenly then it was sold out.:dunno:

I doint know about stores, never seen a "Very" store.

Hard luck there @pete , as you can see from Currys screenshot it states W11 for that Asus model with the Gold processor.
Cannot see it sold elsewhere, but as you know lots of other choices still in the £300-£400 range

John Lewis show these three in stock all with W11 and JLs famous 2 year warranty for free.
The Asus seem to be in the same family as that one from Very but with a better i3 processor.

Though plenty of others elsewhere now you know more what to look for, though do not think some logging on finger print reader would be a deal breaker :)

Just looking at those two JL Asus, the only difference we can see is the Black one has the better quality IPS screen than the lower priced sliver one, worth the little extra imho.

You know John, my old one has given me 8 years good service and probably would go on, but poor old Bill Gates and co are struggling with the cost of living these days and have had to stop supporting W8, the cost was obviously crippling them.

So I think its time I chipped in and helped the poor buggers out, sad times for all of us.

                  A good buy @pete. Is it Windows11?

There's a tale about the lack of SD slots. Apparently a while back Apple decided to get rid of the slots in their computers and the other makes decided to follow suit. Apple got loads of complaints about it so they decided to put them back in last years models. With that in mind, perhaps the other manufacturers will follow suit in the not too distant future. Too late for you and I of course.
