Hi, this may seem like a silly question but..

Is it OK to use burnt willow potash on my garden and if so, at what rate?

    Any advice welcomed!

Hi Micky. My book says about 1/2-1lb per 100 sq feet. On my veg plots I just evenly hand broadcast it and I always added a good pinch around each plant in the borders.

If you have fruit trees or bushes you can scatter it beneath them in spring as it encourages flower and fruit formation. Potash is very soluble and soon washes out so I always store any autumn and winter bonfire ash and apply it when growth has started again.
