Oh my if I were not moving out I would bid for that, I love strelizias and the juncea is so unusual!

I know how it feels to give up a plant you grew from seed, oh my bleeding heart and all. Courage, my friend.

Interesting colour, Steve .... don't think I'd be able to part with it, particularly at the current price after years of nuturing it along.

I have two new shoots on my S nicolai and I am wondering if perhaps, just perhaps I may get a bird or two this coming year .... fingers crossed. :)

My nicolai was turning into a monster last year it ended up in the p/tunnel with no heat and was cut to the ground this summer I cut it out of its pot and got 3 viable pieces which are growing so this winter I have 3 times the problem.

    Thanks for the sympathy All.

I'd love to keep the plant but it's too big for me now although I've enjoyed raising the plant from seed and have had the benefit of seeing it flower for the last 4 years. Someone will get a bargain as I've seen much smaller specimens than mine sell for some serious money.

To answer your question Walnut, it has flowered regularly every March although I'm told it should flower in January.

All I hope is however gets it looks after it as it's a such an impressive plant in flower.

Thanks Steve I was wondering with the seasons changing if the flowering time had altered they would have to be at their warmest to flower so would need to be inside at the coldest time of the year something I could not do with my s.nicolai, looks like it will have to enjoyed for its foliage in the summer.
