      We have all, mostly, dealt with similar projects over the years and there will always be more than one way of tackling it

        I’d say just dig out a flower bed/border and see how it goes! You have a blank canvas there and once you start gardening and discovering what you like and what grows well, you will have a great garden underway. Once you’ve dug up a bit of the soil you can examine it, google it if get books out the library and read up on your soil type. Then you will have a head start in knowing what type of plants will do well in your garden. Happy planning!

        Hi

        My wife has decided what flowers she would like!

        She wants wildflowers - she likes the differing colours and varying heights around the side and back fence and we will go for a border.

        and then perhaps some more hardy evergreens next to the garage; perhaps in a planter.
