Whats Your Weather Like June 2023

It was sunny half hour ago but it's clouded right over now, 18c atm.

 

15c sunny with some cloud

Wheat/Barley being flaten by rain, if it's all been flaten one way and leaning agaist the next plant it will harvest with no problem, but with the combine you may have to harvest from one side of field ie left to right or v/v as it flaten you could cut the heads off the plant when being flat and they drop to the ground which will be your biggest loss so you will have to think hard in which way you combine the field, but when you combine the field do it on a sunny day as the wheat/barley will lift up a bit with the warmth, but if you still get bad weather then it will become harder & harder to combine, store it will be ok if it's dry (15%) but the Quality will be less, if still bad weather it will then get worse and worse, but if good weather it should be ok with sun and wind going between the heads of wheat/Barley

 

Sunny with a light breeze, 18c going to 30+ ... parts of our County (Silves) could hit 40 by Monday and the Counties bordering Spain (Alcoutim and Castro Marim) 43C!!!

 

A clear blue sky now and no wind. 18c out n the patio - in the shade...

They've been saying we're going to have torrential downpours and thunder storms since last week but we haven't had them. They're wrong most of the time actually so I'll believe it when I see it.

I was looking at the SEPA rainfall data and non of the stations near me were accurate for the rainfall we had, just goes to show how localised some of these storms are. We had about 30mm more rain at the wekend than any of the data points showed, which is a fair amount

 

A light breeze and 27c.

 

Just having lunch on the patio with a nice temp of 26C ( feel like 27C) . Perfect..no hotter thank you.

 

Just come in for a cold drink, its 29c on my thermometer, with very little wind, burp.

Be interested to know how far away they are from combining down in rural south of France?
I dont think much starts happening around here until August at the earliest.

 

Just hit the 30c mark but there is still a very light breeze.

 

Thankfully only went to 31c and it was pleasant sitting out with the nice breeze for a couple of hours, now 29c and still breezy.
