Apricot laden with fruit

Hi, my apricot is laden with fruit. If I leave them All on will it kill my tree. V

 

Fantastic, close relative of plum, so probably some will drop at some stage.
I think biennial bearing can be a problem with plums if you let them overcrop one year, but just guessing.

 

I let my plum tree massively overcrop last year and don't have a single fruit this year although I don't know if a late frost got to the blossoms too.

I’m worried that letting so much fruit continue may cause die back. But it’s so large tree now that it may not matter.V

 

If it does turn out to be a biennial crop, you'll have enough jam to see your through....or wine, apricot wine is a better idea!
