Brilliant Marley they are in the process of re-booting the hubble computers at the moment they were shut down to prevent damage a while ago, some re programming to take place and a visit by the shuttle to do some upgrades later and to think they were going to shut it down. Just a few I helped to classify on Galaxy Zoo. not as good as the Hubble but it's a start.
:thumb::thumb: Ooh they are fantastic Walnut..!! I am presuming you didn't take the pics as well..???? So do they have your name on them..???? I am so glad they are not going to shut it down, it is fantastic the pics it sends back...!!!!
If only Marley, mabe when I get my telescope of choice, these galaxies are identified by numbers some have never been seen the idea is to get all the ones catalogued, we just identify the type they are, some interesting theories bantered about on the forum, worth a visit if you want to know the secret of the universe.http://www.galaxyzoo.org/GalaxyAnalysis.aspx
when you consider space and time, you have to believe in life after death, and that nothing just ends. give's me hope anyway. Thanks the the pics,
Biguns the more you look the more you realise there is a lot going on out there that cannot be explained one question Ikeep asking myself is "who created the creator"?
:thumb: Woa.. Walnut a fascinating site..!! I think it is brilliant that there will be an add on list with all of you who have identified them listed..!! Your hour of fame for all of you...!! Excellent work to all of you... Looks like you have fun too, liked the story of "Alice"..:thmb: :thmb: Biguns it certainly does give you hope & make you feel there is an after life... I certainly hope I shall be out there one day, shining down....:thmb:
"Who created the creator?" is a question asked by Richard Dawkins. Walnut, I guess we read the same authors and share the same beliefs:thumb: as well as a love for Brugs:D
Hi Caj I have asked that question for years I think he has been reading me, I wonder if he grows Brugs:confsd:
Would not some of those pictures be wonderful framed on a wall. (if someone else said that sorry, did no read all threads) I think I will set them up as screen saver.
Hi, walnut. Never worried about that question. It wasn't relevant to my beliefs. (It is now, when I visit Muslim countries!!) R.D. just explains things simply. I never understood the "Theory of Relativity" until Bronowski explained it.. That's a beautiful Aurora. I've only seen that twice from this country. I don't think R.D. grows Brugs, I think he just grows enemies:lollol:
Thank you Marley for sharing those most amazing pics. It is just too breathtaking for words. My world just shrunk
