A warm breeze and 30c.

 

It's half decent, sun in and out, looks like rain one minute then blue sky,
22c.
Yes windy but manageable, I hope we don't get similar to what went through The Netherlands at the weekend.

 

It appears we may be getting some rain here this afternoon. Though at one point yesterday we were forecast a shower of rain with a probability of 90% - not a drop fell out of the sky a couple of hours either side of the time predicted! (Perhaps it got blown away with yesterday's winds!).

I fully understand it's difficult to say just where a shower may fall - but with odds like that, wouldn't you take a umbrella if you had to go out?

Thunderstorms are notoriously difficult to predict I again understand & in fact a few years ago we were visiting our grandchildren, who live in a small village just 5 miles from us, & there was a thunderstorm that inundated their patio under several inches of rain water in just a few minutes. But when we returned home a couple of hours later here it was as dry as a bone - not a drop had fallen here that afternoon!

As you can see from the image below, we are forecast thunderstorms this pm, will they arrive? Watch this space (but sit down while waiting as it may be a very long wait!

At least heavy rain at 4pm they have got right! I'd no sooner pressed the send button for the post above that I heard a noise like heavy rain I got up to look out of the balcony windows & saw heavy rain falling at a 45 degree angle!

 

Stopped now!!!

 

Heard this in film the other night, "if you pray for rain you have to be prepared to deal with the mud".
I know I aint.
I spend at least 7 months of the year in mud.

 

It is 32c and very breezy here.

We went to sit outside at 5.30pm and smelled smoke. Not good as 10 miles North of us at Sao Marcos da Serra there is a fire with 58 units in attendance, over 200 operatives and 8 aircraft.

 

The Morrisons delivery driver has just dropped off my weekly shop, he said it was unbelievable, only three miles away it was pouring down.

 

Don't I wish it was here! Our friends arrived from Surrey today.
