      Hi Shaneoak, no.1 is a Hydrangea, 2 and 5 a climbing rose.

        Hi. Thanks for the reply. It's just one grass type. I took a close up and a more distant picture. Hmm..it didn't look like miscanthus. I've seen them a plenty and there leaves look different. These were huge , almost 4 meters tall, with no grass bloom. They were at a botanical garden in Stoke. I will try to get another picture next time i visit.

        Any idea what specific varieties? Probably very difficult to tell with the rose!

          Miscanthus giganteus.....I could never get it to flower either!
          If it's not that, then I'm at a loss
