I am re-submitting this thread as I inadvertently deleted it when I was 'pracitising' the other week and I would like to continue to add pictures as the shrubs develop. Apologies to those who had made comments in the original thread ...

This was my first flower ....

Lol, mine have seed pods, don't know if they will develop fully or drop off. They have stopped flowering now, next year I might try one outside for the summer.:)

Can't do much of that at the moment, my friend ... it's sort of overcast here with rain forecast .... but I'm not complaining .... :)

I couldn't believe my eyes yesterday. I bought my monthly magazine specifically aimed at the Algarve mainly because of the excellent garden section in it (where I advertise and not my friend Stu as he writes for another publication) and there .... Plant of the Month ..... the rare and exotic ...... Thevetia peruviana and a beautiful picture of a yellow one but it does say there is a peach one! I really was quite shocked .... we guys having spent all the time we did trying to discover what this was and now .... it's the 'IN' shrub to have. It says it can be trained early in life into a small tree rather than a shrub!

I'm pleased I have the peach one .... it's more exotic looking! :thumb:

The one by the pool in Turkey I saw a couple of years ago was a small spreading tree.
The flowers were being pollenated by some very large bees so yours might be, mine were pollenated by me. It is an attractive shrub/tree, hope yours grows into one.

This may be a question for strongy but please anyone else feel free to reply ....

I have my two Thevetias in large concrete pots and this year I underplanted them with Pansies a month or so ago, leaving the Mandevillea roots in place which had been planted there last year.

The problem is this .... the Pansies need watering twice a day and virtually collapse .... I have just come in from watering the garden (that which is not on irrigation) but the Thevetias are now looking decidely overwatered ....

.... should I remove the Pansies and just let the Mandevilleas get on with it as they are developing nicely now?

I am going away in a couple of days and may need to move the Pansies before I go so the house/cat sitter doesn't then drown the Thevetias which I couldn't bear to lose.

    Thank you in advance.
