Son now has an allotment

    Well, today we paid the sub and signed up for an allotment for our 16 year old son, he's been keenly growing stuff at home (Lemon plants, Pine tree saplings from seed etc), so after chatting with him and suggesting possibly having his 'own space' to do what he wants.... He jumped at it, he spoke to a friend about it, and his friend also had an interest, so they'll be sharing it.

    I've just got back from not only giving mine a little dig, but also helping him with his space.

    I've sent him a link and told him to get registered, so keep an eye out for him..... Not sure what username he's going to choose yet .

          Well, it seems he's up for best new plot in our local councils competition, and covers around 6 local allotment sites.

          We're going to the awards ceremony in a couple of weeks as he's been invited, so it means he's won either 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

              That's strange. Round here, if a sixteen year old and his mates show any horticultural intent, it's normally googling how to feminize the seeds!:heehee::):nonofinger:
