      Another one that would benefit from TNT/C4/Semtex!
      I've removed a few of these when I gardened for a living....I did not have fun:frown:

        It's narrowed down to Pampas or Carex Pendula. I can say I haven't seen flowers of any kind on these things in the last few years.

        Personally I'd rather dig it out then resort to any kind of chemical treatment, so will wait until after winter and hope that it won't be too much of a chore.

        I think most cities won't want anything to do with what was mentioned above! I tried to put a link to the initial scene for Rush Hour but alas I'm not too experienced a poster here yet...

          Ok, if you don't want to go down the blowing stuff up route, I've had good results using a pruning saw. It's narrow blade can get in between gaps. It takes a bit of effort, but bit by bit you'll dig it out.
