Solved Identification please

Can anyone ID this plant for me please
The lady that gifted it to me said it was 'like a stock' but couldn't tell me what

Hi Joanna......I don't have a very good track record at identifying but could it be a Wallflower by any chance?

 

Perhaps Dianthus barbatus ... Sweet William?

 

I did say I'm not good at this but.... just a thought...Hoary Stock...it does have a posh Latin name but that's an area I'm not good at as well.

 

We 'll have to resort to an identity parade .....

 

Looks more like some sort of stock than the others mentioned

Hi all, thanks for your suggestions! To be honest, I'm not sure about wallflowers as it's a larger bract but maybe a variety of..how exciting! I'll wait and see

 

Could it be Evening Primrose ?
