A bit cloudy atm but sun promised later on. Hope so!
    The sea's a bit choppy.

      Good morning to all.
The weather here is lovely, it's 6C and I'm hoping the temperature will creep up as the day goes on. What a contrast to yesterday's yucky weather.
I've washed a couple of items- I'm one of those who tries to find something to wash to take advantage of good weather.
      Have a good Sunday.

Hmm … the sun has been hidden by a blanket of cloud … ever since I hung a line of washing out, including a thick fleecy jacket belonging to son. Hopefully it’ll dry in the stiff breeze :fingers crossed:

Beautiful sunny day, but absolutely Baltic. We are going for a walk round the Botanic gardens.

              Morning all :)

Plan currently is to burn a load of rubbish today, but that will depend on how windy it is, then need to work out when the best day for putting up the fence around what will be an onion bed this year, as the forecast currently is rain for the next seven days.

Got a couple of bags of compost arriving from Amazon to keep me going until my delivery arrives - at least if the weather is really bad, I can be in the greenhouse, potting stuff up.

@Topbird, you didn't by any chance have a member of crew called Blaise Gould on your cruise, did you? I know he is down there at the moment. I met him in the Arctic any years ago, lovely bloke.

Morning all. A weak looking sun showing here at the moment but a dark black looking sky rapidly approaching from the west so the dogs have been chucked out for a quick pee before they get too comfortable in front of the rayburn for the morning.
Really hope you are feeling better in time for the planned roast dinner @Dordogne Damsel it sounds delicious, and do give Charlie a well done cheer from all of us.
Hope your drainage problem turns out ok @Busy-Lizzie are you back home today?
Sorry to hear of those who are suffering disturbed nights (loved the picture of Busy's OH wrapped up in the duvet), nothing worse than several night's lack of sleep.
Enjoy the Botanical Gardens @Punkdoc wrap up warm.
Time for another cuppa I think and then Sunday brunch before I decide what to do with the rest of the day.
                  Have a peaceful Sunday folks.

@Anna42 we are staying an extra night with my daughter, going home tomorrow after having showers. Then we will have to cope using buckets, bowls and a commode like in the olden days, bit of a nightmare nowadays being used to modern facilities.

Morning all, a very quick hello to everybody as I'm gulping my coffee down in an effort to get out in the garden before the sun disappears. It's 9c but probably will feel colder in the wind.
Too many posts already to comment individually but have a good day all.

@Busy-Lizzie I remember back when we had a septic tank on the farm it sometimes didn’t work properly following a lot of wet weather … think it was to do with the outlet/soak away part just not draining (or even working in reverse and funnelling water into the tank). … Pa would send for the tanker and get it pumped out.

Hello @liliana :) pleased to meet you … I’m new here (as are quite a few of us for reasons you’ll soon discover). That’s quite a long garden … how lovely. Has it been cared for or have you got a renovation job on hand?

@Dovefromabove the previous owner said he emptied it every 7 years. I had it emptied 2 years ago. The tank man said it's because of waterlogged clay soil, tank sinks and deforms the pipe.
