I worked in the middle East in those sorts of temperatures which I really enjoyed.

It's been drizzling here, stopped now but unlikely we will get sun. 14c presently

I've done a couple of short spells of work in the middle east - Abu Dhabi in June/July up to 50C in the daytimes. I hated it. Oman in November (low 30s) was just about bearable.

We have a warm dry day forecast (19C, a pleasant temperature for me) so the washing will be going out while I'm stuck inside working

Never mind, the forecast is OK for the weekend.

I watched a programme recently on Oman from the Air and it was very interesting.

I just love it when the box at the bottom does not appear i.e. "rain starting..." or "ending in...". I can't fathom how I get up at around 8 (sometimes 15 mins or so earlier) and don't end breakfast 'til after 10 - do enjoy it mind you.
Living in heat I used to get up at dawn in summer, I hasten to add, only to shut the shutters and windows on the sunny sides of the house. Pre-dawn I would normally wake to a wisp of air from the hall window opposite our bedroom (faced north), amazing the colour of the sky, but you also knew it was yet another blistering day in front of you. For a short time you had the coolest part of the day. Now 25c here in the UK is enough for us, unfortunately I think with climate change it might become a lot hotter. Enjoy what looks like a dry day for most of us!

That could have been 2018. The famous heatwave of 2018 started in May and went on for months and of course, August is always the same heat above 38c.
That was the same year, when my friend in Spain and my parents in Berlin complained on 4 June that they had 39c, and we had 10c with heavy rain and had to turn on the heating :wallbanging:

16 degrees pretty much all da in Costa del Angus, trouble is with the sea temp at around 5 degrees, I can see the fog waiting to arrive.

Forecast looking promising for the next two weekends here. At last!

Reportedly an ‘African Plume’ in the U.K. for the next 72 hours, with some areas reaching 20 degrees!

It has been glorious today. Managed to get outside in the garden but fell asleep in the summerhouse.
