As I live in France I have an ID card. Never been a problem and can be useful. Why would it stop you going to a supermarket?

 

Fat Controller, it was a long time ago but I have been twice. The second time we stayed at a lovely B and B with the lovely gentleman Armandaii. It is well worth a paddle in the canoe!

 

The working days are getting shorter, just seen someone heading home after a long day 3-half hour's, i wish i had days like that instead of 10-15 hour days

 

There is a housing association house across the road from me, and they are getting it ready for new tenants.

The decorators arrive around 8.30am and are gone by 2pm.
Possibly a 6 hour day?

 

Haven't bought from M&S online for a while, now I remember why .

Looking for some t-shirts and summer weight jogger type trousers for my husband; when searching on M&S website I just can't get past the male models, why do they have to have sultry, moody expressions? Wouldn't like to meet any of them down a dark alley. The female models are no better. I just can't relate to their products.

So I clicked into Cotton Traders and was met with wholesome looking models with smiley faces.

Sorry M&S your marketing bods have lost you my custom to Cotton Traders, I've no doubt saved a bob or too as well.

 

Not that I buy much but M&S has always been overrated IMHO.

 

My mother's snobby relations always went to 'Marks' as they called it. They were all la-di-da and had always bought this or that in 'Marks' so my mother never went there, just to be different from them.
I always call it 'the snob shop'

 

Trouble is they got hacked a few years ago.

I'm erring on the side of Next these days, You have to go into town around here to find a Primark, I avoid the town like the plague.

 

Same here Pete..I haven't been into our city center for over 10 years...I tell a lie I've been twice..once to see Monty Don and the other time for my covid jab.
