What's your weather like APRIL 2024

Sorry, it took so long to look it up, it was the year before, I think (certainly not 2018 as we left that year) , I found this extract from 2017...

I know it’s generally expected to be wet here in west wales, but we’re all tired of it. I feel sorry for holiday makers and people involved with tourism. Overcast, low visibility and drizzly to varying degrees all day. Everything’s saturated, watercourses are brown, edges of the narrow rural roads are worn away by streams, making the usable road even narrower and huge puddles hide potholes and debris. Sigh.

I ordered a parking space at Hidcote tomorrow. Can't wait to see it again.



Thanks for the screenshot @DiggersJo We should keep records for every single day, because this says different: Weather in août 2017 in Rome, Italy, and proves once more that the Timeanddate Past Weather can't be trusted.

2018 had started here very cold in June. I was wrong with the week, too. It was not the 4th but the 10th of June. I wrote in my blog:

This is the sad picture that you get shown when ever you open the weather forecast in these days. A never ending band of rain is coming in and stays. I wonder how much water we can bear emotionally. Currently, the forecast says that it will turn from the 17th onward. May the Lord hear them. BBC weather.


A week later, that European heat shared its temperature with us and we had 2.5 months temperatures of 25C to 26C, no rain and the lawn in front of our house was brown, something that didn't even happen during the 2022's drought. The tomatoes in my garden couldn't believe their luck and produces daily a pound tomatoes.
People in Europe will remember 2018 as the year of extreme that made them thinking after having 6 weeks around 39C. I have never seen again my friend so exhausted from the heat in our weekly Skype sessions. My parents stayed only inside for 6 weeks in Berlin.

Damp, cloudy, breezy and a bit of rain. 9mm from yesterday evening until this morning. 11 degrees just now [8.05 am] and that was also the o'night low. Normally, if we got that during the day at this time of year we'd be laughing. It's supposed to clear a bit, and the predicted high is about 13, but more wind/rain for later.

Yesterday was lovely - it got to about 15 or 16, with a nice breeze. Very nice. I'd be happy if it never got much higher than that.

Too true @Golarne . We're in the Conwy area and it's hardly stopped for what seems like weeks now. Today might be dry though! Gosh!!

 

Bluejayway, it gets so warm in the summerhouse you just have to snooze....until OH decides to come in...

 

Good morning all, well another grey gloomy day thick cloud ,looking at the 10 day forecast not a sign of sunshine hope it’s wrong, high of 15c.
