Well done ladies such beautiful work.

High Kype there's nothing better than a hand knitted shawl and newborns look so very sweet wrapped up in them it kind of makes me broody but I'm pretty sure I can wait for grandchildren.

I have always loved knitting although lately all I have knitted is a Cookie Monster jumper (which needs sewing together) also a far few scarfs and quite a lot of hats which are so surely needed it being so cold of late.

I tend to like bright colourful character knits and both our boys worn some stunning jumpers when they were small. In fact my very first jumper knit was for my son Dan which I knitted his name on the front and boy did he love that! Hel.xxx.

I have now finished a pullover, but had to send off for an extra ball of yarn as I didn't have enough (although I got the amount the pattern said). Still, it looks good and I am now onto my next project which is a waistcoat sort of thing in blues. I do hope the yarn holds out this time, as sending off for extra is a pain as you probably won't get the same dye lot and only need a small bit, not a whole 50g or, worse, 100g.

That is lovely, takes me back to when I was never without needles in my hands, till the girls were about 12, then they didn't want any more hand made anythings, as I used to make all thier clothes too. I must admit I couldn't be bothered now., but I can still admire and appreciate the work that goes into the garments.

used to knit and crochet a lot in the past but somehow I seem to have moved away from that, although I still have the occassional urge to get the knitting needles out.

might just do that once I have sorted out everything else.
