Oh and I think I kinda like the single coloured variety.

They can all grow in containers Nut, and the difference with indoor germinated ones is that they are in flower earlier and are easier to sort out ie pinch out the tops.

Did you see Fridays Gardeners World Nut? They were showing how to sow sweet peas now using home made sowing pots, by rolling newspapers around a jam jar, then stapling the side. The advantage of sowing now is you get the flowers about 3 weeks earlier next year.

alas gardeners world clashes with Corrie which is wayyyyyyyyyy more important as it covers world affairs.
I fancy a bright orange and a separate white Pea but it says on the orange one that blooms may fade in full sun :(

I tried the rolled newspaper thing, but didn`t like it personally. It was a bit too much like messing around for me.

Now I have those seed module thingy-mi-jigs-you know the ones that come inside those cheap green propagator trays, and I stuff a sheet of kitchen towel inside each one - making a little pocket in them and put compost in those. I have no way of knowing if it is better in the end but for the messing around factor it reduced the time to a matter of minutes.

Just my own take, I`m pretty sure other people find it quite the best option for them.
