Morning everyone. Nothing much happening here. Yesterday morning was cold - minus 6.3 c, so I spent much time snuggled down inside. This morning doesn’t seem so bad though.

Good morning everyone - well it is past midnight! I do so enjoy reading all the chat on here and love feeling as if I am sharing all your activities be they gardening news, information about your travels or garden visits, or just about your daily work or family happenings, so thank you.
Nothing much happening here right now, I seem to be getting generally weaker as time goes on, although not in any pain (thankfully), but it is just so frustrating to find that my legs will no longer keep me standing long enough to make a cuppa - now have a stool beside the kettle to rest while it boils. But with the dry weather that we have had here for the past couple of days, although not very warm, I have been able to pop a coat on, carefully make my way outside and sit in a chair to watch the world go by. The Robins and the Blackbirds who are sharing nesting spaces in our old small barn/workshop are busy coming to and fro, or the daddy birds are, so am presuming the mummy birds are now sitting on the eggs. The sparrows are as noisy as ever with their nests as usual high up in the old stone walls in the spaces that have been left for them when the walls were re 'grouted', so lots of activities to keep me occupied. Am hoping to get down to the doctors later today to see if they can offer any more help/suggestions for my medical problems.
G/daughter still hasn't had her baby and is now booked for a c-section next Monday afternoon. Not what she wanted but still got a few days to go so our fingers are all crossed.
Well enough from me for now. Take care everyone - especially those of you likely to be trimming or snipping at small twigs or branches with those fearsome secateurs!

Hello to @PatE and @Anna42. There was a frost here this morning but the sun is shining so a promising start. Sorry to read that you are feeling a bit below par @Anna42. Hope you get some help at the Doctor's and that this new little person arrives very soon.

@RowlandsCastle, you have really got me sucked into this puzzle solving now! I had time to think about this suggestion I made and then realised how easy it is to make a total twonk of yourself! No point in having a default number once the Key Safe owner has created their own code otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the Key Safe in the first place. Its my age you know! :oopss:

                      Good morning all.
                      :hotsun:
A lovely clear blue sky and a touch of frost. Just the sort of start to the day I like. I expect some of the garden plants won’t like it though.
Lovely photos @redstar. What a celebration.
Hope you start to feel better soon @Anna42.
I’m going to get into the garden before this afternoon’s rain.
I have my wellies and winter coat at the ready!
                      Enjoy your day

                        Good morning all :coffee1:
                        I hope everyone’s had a restful night.
It’s a chilly 3C and there’s frost on the roofs, but we have wall to wall blue sky and bright sunshine here in Norfolk.
Hope the doctor can suggest something helpful @Anna42.
                        Lovely pics @redstar :)

Good morning @Brenda and @Dovefromabove. @Brenda, after yesterday's downpours here and the forecasted low temperatures, I wasn't completely surprised by the frosty start and slippery surfaces today but the sun should quickly disperse the frost. I am hoping it doesn't rain today.
p.s. I will be checking on the treasures in my greenhouse later.

                              Good morning @Ladybird4
No, security wise, it doesn't make sense, but a way of having half numbers, if possible, does. However, that's no easier than trying to find the real number.
As I said, I've got time - although the garden needs attention. Too many Spanish bluebells and straight lines (although the latter makes it easier for mowing the lawn), and not enough paving stones for getting across the produce area - basically, none!!

But back to the key box. I'm getting there - slowly. If I never find the number, then at least I'll know I tried.

Really, there is no alternative way of finding the number, than to keep trying. My wife suggested that I just leave it as it is, and if a burglar finds it while we are away sometime, then they can have the "fun" trying to open it, only to find it empty.
But what if it isn't empty? I need to know!

                              Enjoy your day.

                                Good morning all!

We had a good shower during the night and now the sun is shining but I believe we are in for a wild weekend! The temperatures will drop further for us @floralies, @Busy-Lizzie and @Obelixx.
So rest assured @Punkdoc it's just as cold and wet (almost) down here as you are having.

Yes. @Busy-Lizzie I have seen the ANZAC film about those brave nurses that had to work with such horrors with so little help and of course at that time, a woman was not really significant. I have seen another film made during that time about the medical aid but I can't remember the name.

Commiserations to those with secateur wounds!! I have a permanent scar on my left hand on the skin between my thumb and index finger that I would cut every year grape-picking. Impossible spot to put a plaster on!! Thank goodness everything is on wire now and machine picked. Gone are the harvest days in hot and cold - early start then a pause with bread and pâté at 9.30am and 8°C warming up after lunch to t-shirt weather!! My FIL - 89 - who used to run up and down the rows snipping what we had missed, tut tutting, is now housebound and has difficulty moving around. Such is life.

I would like to get into a rather large weedy bed which, after this rain, should come out really easily - but I'm still in a personal meeting about it!!

I hope you all have a pleasant Friday.
