Solved Help! What is this plant?

    Hello. Thank you in advance for helping with this. This plant been in the garden for a few years. Every year it gets bigger but never flowers for does anything to give me a clue what it is. I can’t remember if I planted it. many ideas welcome! IMG_5945.jpeg

    I wonder if it's Burdock (Arctium), although that's biennial?

      It looks like that stuff that has all those burrs in late summer.

      Thanks so much everyone. Looks just like Burdock. I was pretty sure it’s been there for at least two years, but perhaps I’m wrong, or I dug the original out and forgot about it!

      I would have loved it to be verbascum ❤️

      I'd give it a bit longer, to be sure. It's best to wait until it flowers. :smile:

      Thanks Bob. That’s sensible. Luckily for the plant I have a gazzillion gardening jobs to do before I get around to digging it up!

      It doesn't really look Verbascum-ish to me. Something about those slightly frilly leaf edges I think. But it won't hurt to wait and see. If it is Verbascum, it looks big enough to flower this year.

          Agree about burdock. Verbascums do have more grey in their leaves.
