    Morning all

I had seen this growing some time ago but wasn’t sure what it was, so let it grow. A search on the PlantNet app reveals it as Figwort. Is it something I should let flower or will it become a nuisance?

    Thanks all!

It might be the native Common Figwort … I can’t see any of the flowers yet which woukd confirm it for me … and on the other hand Phygellus is also in the same family and looks similar, and grows quite bushy as your plant does … common figwort usually is less bushy as a young plant … I’d wait a bit longer and see what develops.

      Others may think differently …
I find figwort fascinating … it was one of the first plants I learned to recognise as a child … we had a teacher at the village school who was very knowledgeable about such things.

Ok, so I’m not sure if the flowers are going to open more than this and I’m worried it’ll start seeding everywhere! Any more thoughts on what it could be?

If you don’t want it to seed … then yes, pull it out.
